The region of "Jura & Three-Lakes" in Switzerland is famous for its great variety of landscapes, its intact and well-protected nature and its history and rich architectural heritage, which is often related to the watch-making industry. How can one best describe the area? It makes you think of nature, vegetable plantations, vineyards, modern towns, picturesque villages, a mixture of the German and French languages and beautiful lakes.
Snuggled up against the foothills of the Jura Mountains, the city of Neuchâtel is a great base to stay and explore the area. It's situated on the northern shore of the lake of the same name, Lac Neuchâtel, and is full of Gothic churches, castles, beautiful architecture and colorful neighborhoods.

In this video, we went on a Belle Epoque treasure hunt throughout the city, visited museums and the BirdLife nature reserve. We cycled along the lake and went for a swim at Hauterive, took a funicular to the top of Mount Chaumont for an amazing view and then zip-lined through the trees at the Chaumont Adventure Park.
